Goodhope ranked 7th in SPOTT’s 2024 global transparency assessment

We are proud to share that out of the 100 palm oil companies participating in the 2024 SPOTT (Sustainable Palm Oil Transparency Toolkit) Assessment, Goodhope Asia Holdings Ltd (GAHL) ranked 7th.

We have increased our score from 91.3% in 2023 to 91.9% this year. This is an important milestone for us to be able to improve in our top 10 standing.

The Zoological Society of London (ZSL) SPOTT initiative assesses one hundred palm oil producers, processors, and traders on their public disclosure regarding their organization, policies, and practices related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues.

Our sustainability team has worked diligently to improve GAHL’s sustainability and transparency standards, and, as a result, our SPOTT ranking has been rising steadily since 2018, when the SPOTT assessment was launched. Back then we ranked 24th, last year we placed 9th, and this year a remarkable 7th position.

We scored 100% in two categories: HCV, HCS, and impact assessment, and Governance and grievances. In 7 out of 10 categories, we achieved a score of more than 90%.

The challenge next year will be to maintain this rank, as further improvement will depend on our progress in increasing the percentage of the RSPO-certified areas.
