The RSPO’s Annual Roundtable Conference (RT 2023) attracted approximately a thousand visitors at this year’s event in Jakarta. Themed “Partners for the Next 20”, the conference and exhibition brought together various RSPO members from the palm oil value chain for a packed 3-day event.
Overall RT2023 was a celebration of 20 years of impact and reaffirmation of the power of partnerships for the next 20 years.
Just like at the previous RT, this time Goodhope had a joint booth with our local NGO partner PILI. The booth showcased the milestones and progress we have achieved in the implementation of the Nabire Landscape Conservation Program in Papua.
This year, PILI brought two representatives from the indigenous communities in Nabire to talk about the program with our booth visitors. We played a short video showcasing the Yerisiam Gua and Wate Asiaina villages. The video, produced by PILI, showed community living conditions as well as the rich and diverse natural ecosystem surrounding our estates.
The booth was visited by many conference participants hailing from all continents, most of whom showed keen interest in the program activities.
