Agro Bukit’s Sungai Binti Mill Receives National Zero-Accident Award

Heartiest congratulations to the team at PT Agro Bukit in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia for receiving the national Zero-Accident Award for 2021-2023.

This recognition is given by the Department of Manpower to companies that successfully maintain a zero-accident record for three years running.

This year, only two companies from the East Kotawaringin Regency earned the award at the national level – PT Agro Bukit and PT Unggul Lestari (a MusimMas company).

In July, PT Agro Bukit’s Sungai Binti Mill also received a Zero-Accident Award from the Central Kalimantan Manpower and Transmigration Office.

According to Pak Setiyono, Senior Mill Manager for PT Agro Bukit, the secret to the team’s success is the commitment of the mill’s management team to drive safety consciousness as a way of life. Daily safety briefings are a must and adherence to SOPs is not compromised.

“Leaders of each department scan their respective areas before starting a job, always alert to eliminate potential risks.”

The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Committee, says Pak Setiyono has also played an integral role in ensuring that safety processes are established and working properly. The OHS Committee at PT Agro Bukit, is chaired by Pak Agus Setiadi.

Safety awareness is an important aspect of the palm oil milling operation and a challenging one. The success of the team at Sungai Binti Mill in maintaining zero accidents over three years is a testament to the commitment of the mill’s leadership team and OHS committee to maintaining an award-winning safety culture.
