Recently, Goodhope’s subsidiary PT Agro Bukit in Central Kalimantan was selected by the RSPO as a host for their Peat Drainability two-day training conducted together with Wetlands International on 25th to 26th January 2023. Wetlands International is a global not-for-profit organization specializing in peat science.
The attendees included 27 participants from various palm oil companies (members of the RSPO), including six from Goodhope, two trainers from Wetland International, and six members of the RSPO team.
On the first day, participants attended classroom training in Sampit, Central Kalimantan, while on the second day, practical training was conducted on a small plot of peatland at PT Agro Bukit.
PT Agro Bukit GM, Pak Wildan, provided all necessary support for this event to run smoothly and received high praise from the RSPO, Wetlands International, and all participants.
Through events like this one Goodhope demonstrates both its commitment to excellence in agricultural practices and its readiness to be an active contributor to the palm oil industry’s newest initiatives.
